News from Jucyville
by Tim Alpe
I thought for this newsletter I would move away from my words of wisdom and instead update everyone on what has been happening at JUCY. Wow - where do I begin. I feel like the last two weeks have been the busiest ever in terms of my work load. There has just been so much on the go at Jucy-ville. You might have noticed recently that the JUCY brand has been popping up in different sporting and cultural events. We have decided in 2009 to align our brand with some very cool sponsorship deals. Sponsorship has proven a fantastic way in which JUCY can build brand awareness while at the same time supporting New Zealand & Australian events and athletes . I thought it would be good to update all our friends on the JUCY sponsorship stable for 2009.
Ironman New Zealand: Jucy was the official car rental sponsor of the New Zealand Ironman
Gina Fergusson: Jucy sponsored Gina when she won this year’s New Zealand Ironman event in Lake Taupo. Gina is an absolute star and will be one of New Zealand’s greatest Ironman in years to come (no pressure Gina!). We have also sponsored Gina for this years international events including the major Ironman in Kona.
Winter Games: Jucy is the official car rental sponsor of the 2009 Winter Games. This event is going to be massive with over 1000 competitors taking part in late August. All events will involve Olympic medal hopefuls who are gearing up for next year’s winter Olympics. Check out the Winter Games website www.wintergamesnz.com for all the information on the games. If you can be in Queenstown during this week as it is going to be a massive party. Jucy will off course be there in fine form.
Michael Hill Violin Comp: Jucy is the official car rental sponsor of this event. It is a truly world class event and something that seems to be getting bigger and bigger each year. I have absolute admiration for Michael and Christine Hill for putting on such a classy event. I am not really a classical music person but must say I really like the association for Jucy.
